World Health Day
This Sunday is World Health Day, celebrated annually on the 7th April to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 1948. The WHO leads and champions global efforts to give everyone, everywhere an equal chance to live a healthy life. This year’s theme is My health, my right.
Here in the UK the range of organisations, services and bodies which form the National Health Service (NHS) can make the health system a confusing one. Our Helpdesk provides information and signposting to local residents for health and social care, including access to healthcare – and signposting to relevant parts of the health service – to hopefully make things a little clearer. Our Helpdesk is available: Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm and Fridays 10am – 4:30pm and you can contact us by:
- Phone: 0303 303 0023 (local rate)
- SMS (text only): 07592 787 533
- Email: enquiries@healthwatchsurrey.co.uk
