We want to hear your A&E experiences
Figures released by the NHS in October revealed ambulance services and staff working in A&E experienced more pressure than in any previous October on record. There were 2.36 million A&E attendances, 6% more than the previous busiest October, and it was a record October for emergency admissions too.
Both urgent and emergency care services play an important role in ensuring patients receive the right care, from the right person, at the right time. But knowing which service to use and when can be confusing.
At Healthwatch Surrey we provide reliable and trustworthy information and signposting about local health and social care services to help you get the support you need – there’s specific information on urgent and emergency service on our website.
We also champion the voice of local people to shape, improve and get the best from NHS, health and social care services. We’d therefore love to hear about your experiences:
- Have you been to A&E recently? If so, which hospital? And why were you there?
- Did you contact any other services – such as the GP, pharmacy or 111 – before you attended?
- How was your visit? And what would have made it better?
