Thank you to all of our volunteers this #VolunteersWeek
This week is #VolunteersWeek and to start the week, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers for all of their support. Over the last year, our 40 volunteers have given us an amazing 232 days of support, helping us to ensure people’s experiences of health and social care are heard.
Our volunteers are integral to the work we do as Healthwatch Surrey. Over the past year, they have helped us to:
- Raise awareness about Healthwatch Surrey in your local area
- Supported us on engagement sessions
- Attended workshops to help our projects
- Supported and taken part in our pharmacy and neurodiversity surveys
- Shared their health and social care experiences with us
- Via our Reading Panel, helped us prepare for/attend meetings and ensured pubic facing copy meets the needs of local people.
Without their help, we wouldn’t be able to carry out the extent of the work we do across the whole of the county.
To mark volunteer week, we sent each of our volunteers some sweets and a thank you certificate.
Throughout this week, we will also be sharing our volunteers blogs about the wide ranging ways they are involved with us and how to get in touch if you would like to volunteer with us. Find out more on our Volunteering with us page.
