Community Cash Fund winners announced
Having received a huge amount of applications for our 5th Community Cash Fund, our panel have chosen the winners. This year, funding will be going to:
Tandridge Befriending scheme – helping isolated, lonely people with a befriending service that supports resilience, independence and health and wellbeing.
The Brigitte Trust – providing volunteer led emotional support and help in Surrey to those facing a life threatening diagnosis.
The Green Hub project for teensĀ – run for teenagers 15 to 18 with low to moderate anxiety, depression, eating disorders,= and those that may have been on long waiting lists for CAMHS.
Blossom – supporting LGBTQ young adults who are vulnerable and have mental health needs.
ROC – helping secondary school pupils with IT needs in deprived areas for laptops etc.
South Woking Help at Hand – helping residents who are struggling with everyday tasks including shopping, hospital transports, prescriptions.
Dorking Mens Sheds – bringing together men who are socially isolated to provide a venue to meet and create projects.
Banstead Tuesday Club – a weekday club, talks, lunch, exercise for those with Dementia.
SH Veterans Listening Project – drop-in for veterans and families.
