SPACES research on alcohol choice empowerment – Share your views

14th March 2025

SPACES (Storytelling Promoting Alcohol Choice Empowerment and Sharing) – a programme of research looking at novel ways to support midlife women who would like to reduce their alcohol consumption – are looking to speak with midlife women who have managed to sustain reductions in their alcohol consumption.

In this part of the research programme, they are looking for people to join sharing and listening sessions.

These are open to midlife women who:

  • Are aged 40 to 65 years
  • Are currently living in the UK
  • Have experience of making reductions in alcohol consumption, within the past 5 years
  • Are willing to share their experiences to help others.

More information can be found in the participant information sheet and privacy notice for this study.

If you are willing to participate in this part of the project, please contact fmatley@brookes.ac.uk and suggest a suitable time for an online, one-to-one interview, lasting up to an hour.

SPACES are offering shopping vouchers worth £30 as a thank-you for participating in this part of the project.
