SEND survey as part of Ofsted and CQC Surrey inspection – closing date 9am, 19th September 2023
Call to action to support Ofsted and CQC SEND Inspection for Surrey – survey for completion – deadline 9am, 19 September
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have launched a SEND inspection of Surrey’s local area as of Monday 11th September.
The inspection, that will last for three weeks, will look at education, health and care services for children with additional needs and disabilities (otherwise known as SEND) in Surrey, to assess their experiences and outcomes. SCC Colleagues from CFLL work together with health and education partners across the county as ‘Surrey’s Additional Needs and Disabilities Partnership’ to deliver services for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
As part of the inspection Ofsted and CQC are seeking the views and experiences of:
- Parents/carers of a child or young person with additional needs or disabilities, or
- Young people with additional needs or disabilities, or
- Practitioners that work directly with children and young with additional needs and disabilities
Parents and carers, young people and practitioners are invited to complete this short survey before the link closes at 9am, 19th September.
The Local Offer website has further information and resources explaining the inspection process. You can access an outline of the full process in full here: Area SEND inspections: framework and handbook – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). A full written report will be published around two months after the inspection finishes.
