Help the University of Cambridge and Thiscovery understand how people decide whether to take part in cancer screening – closing date 1 December 2024
3rd October 2024
The University of Cambridge and Thiscovery invites you to take part in a research study to improve cancer screening programmes.
What is the problem?
- Detecting cancer early through a screening programme could save your life. But a false result could suggest an incorrect diagnosis, leading to further tests and potentially even unnecessary treatment.
- We want to understand how people decide whether to take part in screening, and particularly how they choose between screening options where the balance varies between the chances of successful detection and incorrect results, for example.
How can you take part?
- Complete a 20 minute survey to share your views on cancer screening – Can you help us understand how people decide whether to take part in cancer screening? (thiscovery.org) (closing date 1 December 2024)
What will this study do?
This study will help us better understand what people are willing to accept during cancer screening in order to improve the way that cancer screening programmes are delivered in the future.
