Carers Trust survey for Young and Young Adult Carers on the challenges of taking a break – closes 2 March
Young Carers action day is Weds 12th March. The theme this year is ‘Give me a break’.
Young carers and young adult carers can feel overwhelmed by their caring responsibilities and balancing this with other areas of life, such as school.
The theme also highlights the importance of giving young carers a break in life, and a chance for them to succeed when given the proper support. That could be at school with teachers giving young carers more support to help balance caring responsibilities with schoolwork; or it could be employers giving young adult carers access to mentoring schemes, career insight days or internships.
As part of this, the Carers Trust have launched a survey for Young and Young Adult Carers on the challenges of taking a break.
The survey should only take 3 minutes for carers to complete and its findings will be used to make the case for young carers with politicians and the media. The results will be published on Young Carers Action Day
