CARE Network – take part in research

30th May 2024

Take part in a research study delivered by King’s College London (KCL). The memory research team here at KCL are working towards exploring health and wellbeing in Black, Asian and ethnic communities and faiths groups following the COVID-19 pandemic, in a study called the Community Ageing Research across Ethnicities Network (CARE Network).

The study will help to understand the health needs within Black, Asian, and ethnic communities and faith groups. The study will also help to explore ways to better improve health and well-being within the community pre and post-pandemic and will enable to answer relevant questions to shape health service use and research to benefit across communities. The rationale behind this study is that there is currently an underrepresentation of participants from Black, Asian, and ethnic communities within research and we recognise the importance of ensuring that all research is diverse and beneficial to all.

This research study involves the completion of a 20–30-minute online survey that can be completed in the comfort of your own home. Throughout the study, there will also be opportunities for participants to hear about new and ongoing research about dementia, participants will also be able to join our KCL Public and Patient involvement groups, which help to shape future research within King’s College London.

To take part, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 40 and over
  • Have access to the internet

Any members that are interested in taking part in this study will be able to visit the online survey below to participate. They will be provided with the study information sheet and consent form before completing the survey: https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/kings/care-network-baseline-study-survey-v3
