We are pleased to be recruiting for a Deputy Contract Manager for Healthwatch Surrey.

Deadline to apply: 9am, Monday 3 June 2024.

We are looking for someone who can oversee our programme of community engagement events, creatively share the insight we hear from local people and track and report on the impact and outcomes that we achieve to demonstrate the power of feedback.

As our Deputy Contract Manager for Healthwatch Surrey you will be responsible for:

  • Line management of at least 2 Insight & Engagement Officers.
  • Tracking and reporting on the impact and outcomes achieved by Healthwatch Surrey.
  • Supporting tracking and reporting on performance against a number of contractual KPIs and preparing reports for commissioners and our CIC Board.
  • Creating content to share with NHS and social care partners to illustrate the experiences shared with Healthwatch Surrey.
  • Overseeing projects in line with Healthwatch Surrey priorities.
  • Working with our Communications & Involvement Officer to ensure our local Healthwatch initiatives and outcomes are communicated effectively.
  • Building excellent relationships with local stakeholders in order to ensure representation of Healthwatch Surrey in one geographical ‘Place’.
  • Clearly and concisely writing reports using our insight, case studies and/or overviews of the main findings and any associated recommendations, (e.g. project reports, impact reports, annual report, insight reports).
  • Staying abreast of Healthwatch England work and campaigns, to ensure we link our insight up with national insight where relevant and to gain more influence.
  • Ensuring that projects, engagement activities and events meet the individual needs of the people we are seeking to interact with and that they are compliant with the Equalities Act 2010 and the Accessible Information Standard.
  • Supporting in the management of the database and tracking and escalating of ‘Concerning Cases’, and to be tenacious in pursuing outcomes.
  • Representing Healthwatch Surrey in meetings with stakeholders.

You will need to be interested in working with the NHS, local people and VCSE colleagues about issues related to Healthwatch Surrey priority areas; excellent at talking to people; caring and curious about their experiences; interested in how insight is captured, stored and analysed; confident to represent Healthwatch Surrey in meetings to help amplify people’s voices. We are particularly interested in reaching out to those who are less well-served by services, who may face barriers to accessing services, and who may be at risk of health inequalities.
