User Voice Mindworks Youth and Parent/Carer Focus Groups
Do you want to be involved in shaping the development of User Voice & Involvement in Mindworks? (Surrey’s Children, Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing & Mental Health Services)
Mindworks have been exploring how they are currently listening to, involving, and engaging with young people and their families, and how their views and feedback influences their decision making. Mindworks would like to work in partnership with young people and parents/carers to co-create how they improve this part of their work through some focus groups with Surrey young people and parents/carers. You don’t have to have used Mindworks’ services previously to be involved.
What? Two 6 week Focus groups, one for Parents/Carers & one for Young People 13+. (There are opportunities to be involved in different ways e.g. a meeting 1-1s rather than group, by phone, sharing views by email, support to attend etc).
What will be explored? The methods used for getting feedback (events, surveys, youth panels), what would motivate and support people to be involved, how should Mindworks’ get back to people about their feedback, what things are important when asking for feedback to help create a “guide” for Mindworks to follow and more.
When? Starting in late April/early May date TBC. Online, Mon/Tues after school/work hours.
How? Attending the 6 focus groups to share your opinions, but would also discuss supporting people to participate in different ways.
Known benefits to involvement include: Services that better meet your needs, a chance to connect with others with similar experiences, development of confidence, self esteem and skills, feeling empowered and in control and new knowledge, great for CV’s!
Please email Maristelle.preece@surreywellbeing.org for more information , if you’d like to be involved in a different way or if you need any support to participate fully.
