Our Team
Kate Scribbins - Chief Executive
My role is to provide leadership and direction to the Healthwatch Surrey and wider Luminus team. I work with the staff team, the Board and Delivery Partners to achieve our strategic objectives, ensure we deliver on our contracts to a high standard, and work to ensure we have a sustainable and growing future. An important part of my job is building constructive relationships with the many key stakeholders in health and social care in Surrey.
Lisa Sian - Chief Operating Officer
My primary role as Chief Operating Officer is to lead the development of Luminus growth in line with our business development strategy. I also have overall responsibility for the contract delivery on our Giving Carers a Voice, Combating Drugs Public Involvement work and other short term Luminus projects. I oversee the smooth running of operations within Luminus, supported by our Operations Manager. I play an active role in nurturing a collaborative and inclusive working environment, where people are supported to give their best to our organisation.
Samantha Botsford - Healthwatch Surrey Contract Manager
My role is to oversee the delivery of the Healthwatch Surrey contract. I am specifically responsible for managing the information and signposting service, projects, insight reports and our progress against our priorities and KPIs. I currently chair the Local Healthwatch Advisory Group. As part of my role I regularly represent Healthwatch Surrey to help inform Healthwatch England about what matters to the people of Surrey.
Sarah Browne - Engagement Manager
My main responsibility is to ensure we get feedback about local services from Surrey residents including those from seldom heard groups and key neighbourhoods. I oversee the engagement team and work closely with evidence and insight, volunteers, place leads, VCSE groups and community leaders to ensure we use a coordinated and focused place / people-based approach.
My other main job role is to manage the Community Voice projects for Luminus where the client requires engagement to deliver a specific project aim.
Natalie Markall - Executive PA and Administration Officer

Within my PA role I am busy arranging diaries, setting up meetings and minute/action taking. In my Administrator role, I am busy helping each team with various admin duties. These include keeping various databases up to date, preparing for our team meetings, ensuring office supplies are up to date, answering public enquiries and helping with recruitment.
Vicky Rushworth - Communications and Involvement Officer
As the Communications and Involvement Officer for Healthwatch Surrey and the wider Luminus team, I am responsible for internal and external communications, helping to raise awareness of, and promote, our services, encouraging people to tell us about their experiences of health and social care and ensuring people are aware of the impacts our work can achieve. I network and engage with local community groups to also help spread the word. I am also keen to ensure our communications are accessible to a wide audience, helping us to hear the voices of as many of our community as possible.
Becki Meakin - Research Manager
My role is to lead research and project work for Luminus, home of Healthwatch Surrey. I look for areas where we can add value to health, social care and public services in Surrey and surrounding areas. These projects shine a light on local people’s views and experiences to positively influence policies and practices.
Abby Rodd - Healthwatch Surrey Insight and Influence Officer
In my role as Insight and Influence Officer I work with the engagement and Helpdesk teams to gather insights from local residents and to offer advice, signposting and support. I am also the Place Lead for Guildford and Waverley.
